I am learning their relationship, and I am seeing them all around me and in myself. No system of emotional quantization has yet proven all-inclusive, but I cannot deny failure in what I see. Every time my parents brought wrath down upon me, they said it over and over again, "We love you. We don't want to see you hurt." They were scared for me. They are scared for my future and my well-being and so they yell at me and try to instill fear into me. But yelling doesn't convince me when loving words won't. It taught me nothing.... Silent Downpour is actually really good, despite it's imperfections. It's character concepts are original and the story is absorbing. Voice acting is 10x better than in the first two Silent Hill games, but it lacks the emotional musical score to drive home a superior experience over them. And it still can't hold a candle to Silent Hill 3 in any department except world-size, which is thanks to the expanded technology. Play it or watch a LP of it.
